Public Comment Request for Pee Dee Local Workforce Area's Re-designation
The Pee Dee Workforce Development Board and the Chief Elected Officials of Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marion, and Marlboro Counties are in the process of completing a petition to be re-designated as a workforce development area under the provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. This petition will be made to the Governor of the State of South Carolina, based on the area’s history of successful performance and sustained fiscal integrity as an existing workforce area in the State of South Carolina.
The public is invited to review the local area designation requirements here and submit comments to Joette Dukes at j-dukes@peedeecog.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023.
